Fay Grim is afraid her son, Ned, will grow up to be like his father, Henry Fool, a fugitive from the law. And her brother, Simon, is serving a prison sentence for having helped Henry flee the country. Now the CIA wants Fay to help them find Henry's supposedly dangerous notebooks in exchange for Simon's release. The mission escalates into a global con-game that plunges this unworldly but brave single mom into deadly espionage.
